Keeping the Christmas Spirit Alive During the Pandemic

December brings with it the spirit of Christmas, with its abundance of love and gifts for family and friends. It's been a long time since we've had a pleasant Celebration.

We all know that Christmas is an important Christian way to honor Jesus' birth. It is one of the most awaited periods of the year for both Christians and Catholics. Without a doubt, this is one of the world's most important religious festivals, as well as a worldwide cultural phenomenon, particularly among Catholics and Christians. However, while we enjoy Christmas, we must keep in mind that we are in the middle of a pandemic. To protect ourselves against covid, we must follow the safety rules. Some of you are disappointed that you will not be able to go caroling or see friends, but you may still celebrate because you will be able to spend Christmas with your family.

If someone asked me, What does Christmas mean to you in the midst of the epidemic, In the middle of the pandemic, Christmas remains for me a season of spreading love and fun. However, several members of my family are unable to join us in celebrating Christmas since they reside in other countries and provinces. We are also unable to travel since the virus is still alive and has the potential to spread. Still, we continue to celebrate Christmas and have a fine experience.

Celebrating Christmas in the midst of a pandemic, having an incomplete family is not a cause to be unhappy on Christmas Eve, not being able to visit friends is not a reason to be unhappy, we don't need a lot of gifts to enjoy Christmas, we have our family to enjoy Christmas's presence. "Let us keep the Christmas Spirit alive."

  1. Hi MJ! I agree that Christmas this year (2021) made me felt incomplete as the whole family is not present to celebrate Christmas. Though we are still allowed to celebrate it, we should still follow safety protocols to avoid the spread of Covid-19. Have a wonderful Year!
