Kannawidan Festival!!
Ilocos Sur's unique culture and traditions. It runs from the last week of January through the
first week of February. It is the Ilocanos' way of thanking the Almighty not only for the
abundant bounty, but also for the province's rich tradition, which includes close family ties
among the Ilocanos.
We are well know that products,
street dancing, and concerts are
all included during festivals. During the
Kannawidan Ylocos Festival, many towns
present street dancing in Vigan. There are
celebration dances as well as dances that
reflect everything related to their traditions
or culture. Street dancing is a one of the
main event of the Kannawidan Festival. Moving on to products, every Kannawidan festival
presents a variety of products. These products originated in various regions and towns
across Ilocos. Concerts are a core part of the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival. Where the
contestants do skills such as dancing, singing, and so on. Also, artists from Manila will not
be lost; they come to Ilocos to make people happy.
Kannawidan Festival inspires us to be cheerful and active every
day. Kannawidan has a lot of experience relating with other people, and you may learn a
lot from them. It has a significant impact on both the economy and the people. Overall,
the Kanawidan Festival is the biggest source of income for Ilocos Sur.
